West Palm Beach Seeks Signature Skyline
14 June 2007 - 12:00pm
West Palm Beach, Florida, is entertaining several ideas to embolden its skyline. One proposal suggests a 1,500 foot tower, which would be the tallest in the United States.
"A proposal for one of the most prominent pieces of undeveloped land downtown is a 1,500-foot tower with an observation deck -- unmistakably resembling Seattle's Space Needle -- that would be the second-highest building in the world and the tallest in the United States.
Among towers, the project would be fourth-tallest in the world. It's being proposed by Fort Lauderdale-based High Point Group teamed with architect Rodriguez Design Group."
