VirginiaScan allows users to search an online database of the state's available sites and buildings.
"VirginiaScan allows corporate executives to search an online database of the state's sites and buildings from anywhere in the world. The new feature provides quick and accurate preliminary site searches. The new search engine joins another unique feature on the site, Hot Spots, which puts specific attention on Virginia's rural communities that have available shell buildings and abundant labor. Hot Spots resulted from Gov. Gilmore's recommendations in his strategic plan for economic development, the Virginia Strategy. "
