Orange County Supervisor Will Help Shape El Toro Redevelopment

The new member of the Southern California Regional Airport Authority will play a role in the future of the El Toro Airbase.
"County supervisors appointed board Chairman Charles V. Smith to a regional aviation group Tuesday, despite protests from his anti-airport colleagues that not enough is known about the role the group will play." . . . "That has raised concerns for opponents of an El Toro airport, including Supervisor Tom Wilson, who argued at length for a delay on the appointment."
