AECOM

Does anyone out there have any experience working for or with AECOM? Do you know how they operate as a firm, what the quality of the work that they do is or what their reputation is? Any thoughts would be appreciated

I worked for two AECOM firms

Hello,

I worked for both DMJM Harris and DMJM H&N in Miami, both AECOM firms. My overall experience was positive. You feel you are part of a massive international conglomerate, so it's a little inpersonal, but it's interesting to feel you are interconnected with such a large corporation. They are continually growing. Overall the company feels very corporate-america, which could be good or bad. Good wise it brings smooth running systems and fun international newsletters and the such. The health, stock, and retirement packages are good, but not amazing. On the bad side, the profit driven focus of some of the companies makes the experience rough and hurts a lot of good employees. Some people will get let go for their lack of profit contribution.

You have a decent selection of transfer opportunities once you are part of the AECOM familly, because of their many different companies and their international focus.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 highest), I would rank the overall companies as 6.5.
