Telluride's Muddy River

The San Miguel River, which runs through Telluride, Colorado is undergoing a facelift. And it's not pretty.
"When this is all finished around the end of November, the result should be a river much like it was more than a century ago, before mining and urbanization turned it into an ecologically unhealthy version of its former self.But in the meantime, the project has been a bit upsetting to a few folks around Telluride. Developers and second-home owners have griped about the blight. Environmentalists have questioned the need."
