Lorain, Colorado is turning over a new leaf with a new business attitute and new construction projects.

Beleaguered Lorain - which weathered a national recession in the 1980s, the closing of American Ship Building, cutbacks at U.S. Steel Corp. and Ford Motor Co., double-digit unemployment and years of political infighting - may be ready to emerge from the murkiness."
