So, the issue of accreditation is pretty important to me when picking a prospective masters program. My commonsense tells me that I should only be looking at programs that are accredited because I am earning a masters for practical, rather than academic, reasons. The problem is that I am also considering location when choosing a graduate program. The University of Delaware is not accredited, but if I am going to live and work in Delaware for the next twenty years, is it better to have a non-accredited degree and familiarity with the location, or an accredited degree from a far-away location? I am also having this problem with going to San Diego State, which again is not accredited.

Thanks for any feedback

Maybe we should blame Thomas Jefferson. He was the godfather of the urban sprawl racket in America.
