Designing A Better Cell Tower

A 65-ft tower in San Diego is being redesigned as a piece of modern art.
"Cell towers aren't meant to be aesthetic additions to a community; they're simply necessary accouterments to modern life.
Some are disguised as palm trees or hidden in church steeples."
Now one very noticable cell tower in San Diego is schedule to get a makeover when its upgraded to serve more customers.
"When city arts commissioners discussed the cell tower in November, they wanted to prove that an artistic approach was possible, commission Chairman John McDonald said yesterday."
