Student Housing May Go Green In South Bend

Indiana University, South Bend, is considering joining an ever-growing group of universities that are embracing green building techniques and environmentally sustainable development.
The national trend of sustainable building at universities may be pushing into South Bend, Indiana.
"A faculty committee is working with administrators and architects to encourage the notion of incorporating sustainable design into the planned housing for Indiana University, South Bend."
"Student apartments to be built next year at IUSB might contain rooftop gardens, environmentally friendly building materials and porous parking lots designed to encourage natural drainage."
