After decades of building suburban landscapes that are designed to get rid of water, Massachusetts is taking steps to stem the flow.
The rain is beating down this season, but Stoughton homeowners still have to deal with water-use restrictions. It's the same story indozens of Massachusetts communities: So much rainwater gets thrown away like trash that there is less and less left to pump out of the ground. Now, after decades of building Levittown-like suburban landscapes that are designed to get rid of water, Massachusetts is taking steps to stem the flow.
