When History Meets Sprawl
15 August 2006 - 3:00am
Residents of Camden, South Carolina, are fighting to preserve the charm and character of their historic town from the encroaching sprawl from nearby Columbia.
Two hundred and twenty six years after American patriots fought British loyalists here, another battle is raging in Camden. This time it's over the direction of development in the historic town.

Opponents say the new project threatens to erode Camden's small-town appeal and historic character.
