Colorado's Bicycle Expressway?

Bicyclists are calling for a bicycle expressway between Boulder and Denver.
Members of Bicycle Interlocken say a 15-foot-wide stretch of asphalt alongside U.S. 36 and the soon-to-arrive Northwest Parkway could create the backbone of a regional system of bicycle paths in eastern Boulder County."
