Chicago Uses Website For Regional Transportation Strategy
10 July 2006 - 12:00pm
The new website provides information and a forum for residents to give feedback on transportation funding.
The Regional Transportation Authority, Pace, Metra and the Chicago Transit Authority have joined together to development a new website for the development of a strategic plan for the region's transportation needs.
"The site will ask visitors a series of questions, ranging from the length of their commute to whether they drive or take transit, according to RTA spokeswoman Diane Palmer."
Officials hope that the site will allow them to create a plan that makes a stronger case for state and federal transportation funding.
