Should we be rending our garments in despair, or breaking out the Dom Perignon?..The urban century raises a host of perplexing questions, many focused on the sustainability of the planet when most of us live in cities. One thing seems reasonably clear: the old model -- auto-dependent, energy-hungry and voracious in its consumption -- is on its last legs. New visions are required."
