Inconvenient Truth

Having just returned from the theater, I was wondering what Planetizen readers thought of the movie.
Having heard such great reviews, I was expecting the best.....and was truly impressed, up to a point.

My 3 criticisms:

1. No mention of smart growth, land use, or urban planning - and that's what I thought many of Planetizen's readers might have picked up on as well.

2. Unless I missed it, there was no mention of coal. That's like talking about lung cancer and not mentioning smoking (by the way, the movie's treatment of just that issue was truly excellent, as was most of the movie).

3. He mentioned Population as having the greatest impact on the planet....sounding like just another Malthusian preacher.

The viewer is told to "drive a Prius, use fluorescent bulbs...etc" but nothing of the all-important topic of how we use land and its resources - so vital to reducing "man's impact on the planet".
"Green Manhattan" comes to
