550 Nuclear Sites Made Public

The Energy Department releases the locations of 550 places across the nation where radioactive materials were secretly used.
"The U.S. government has released details on 550 sites across the nation where hazardous materials may have been secretly handled. USA TODAY, which detailed the extensive use of private firms in the U.S. nuclear weapons program, obtained the list beforehand. The newspaper revealed that unwitting workers were exposed to radiation and chemical dangers and that many companies dumped hazardous waste into surrounding communities." The list of sites may surprise you.
