Boulder County Projects On Sprawl List

Two projects in Boulder County, Colorado made the Sierra Club's national list of "sprawling growth."
"Rock Creek, a residential development, and the adjoining Interlocken office park are "an example of what not to do," said Susan LeFever, the director of the club's Rocky Mountain Chapter. Those projects have been under fire by environmentalists for years because they put more traffic on U.S. 36. The club also chose the Stapleton Airport redevelopment as an example of smart growth."
