While we are more aware of environmental implications of our actions, measures to mitigate global warming may take several years to make a difference.
After 13 years of limiting CFCs the hole in the ozone layer continues to grow suggesting that measures to mitigate global warming may take several years to make a difference. "The U.S. is the 500-pound guerrilla of atmospheric pollution on the planet, accounting for the more than a quarter of the world's total output of carbon gases."
