Boise Center No More

21 January 2006 - 5:00am

Boise, Idaho, is no longer the center of population in Treasure Valley, as density shifts west to Meridian.

"In 2000, the last time the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho crunched the numbers, the population center was in Southwest Boise near Cloverdale Road and Executive Drive. Based on continuing development in Meridian and Kuna, COMPASS estimates the population center in 2010 will be even further west -- closer to Locust Grove Road and Meridian's core."
