New Jersey: 'We're More Than A Turnpike'

16 January 2006 - 5:00am

No, this was not the new state slogan selected after close to 12,000 votes among five finalists.

The winner? Come see for yourself. No, really, "Come see for yourself" is the new slogan for the oft ostracized state, replacing "New Jersey: We'll win you over", the previous slogan produced after a $260,000 expense.

Other ideas included "New Jersey: You got a problem with that?" and "New Jersey: Most of our elected officials have not been indicted."

New Jersey

They should have chosen

"New Jersey: You got a problem with that?"

I Prefer

I prefer: "New Jersey: Fuhgeddaboudit!"

No one entered that in the competition. If someone had, it undoubtedly would have won.
