Multiple lawsuits from major clients dampen the "starchitect's" success.
In November 2005, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania "filed suit against the architect...accusing Mr. Vinoly of being 'an architect who had a grand vision but was unable to convert that vision into reality, causing the owner to incur significant additional expenses to correct and overcome the architect's errors and delays.'...The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority has also sued Mr. Viñoly, along with other architects, arguing that the heating, cooling and sound systems are flawed in its $850 million convention and exhibition center. They also say the curved roof leaks during heavy rains." Whatever happened to creative license?
