Annapolitans are steamed about a proposal to insert the chain into a 1784 tavern.
"The King of France Tavern opened in 1784, when Annapolis served as the nation's capital, and has hosted generations of lawmakers ever since...Now the old tavern is about to be reinvented: as the Annapolis area's sixth Starbucks." Could the chain store, complete with its requisite three-foot-diameter sign, actually fit into Annapolis's historic corridor?
