In an interview, John Norquist, the president of the Congress for the New Urbanism, explains why the design principles and values his group promotes is rapidly influencing development around the world. In 2005, CNU awarded six of its prestigious charter awards to projects in China, India, Australia, and Europe.
Many countries realize that New Urbanism is the best way to accommodate rapid growth and resource shortages.
