The Northwest is home to several prominent environmentally friendly architecture and development firms that are paving the way for a 'green' renaissance.
"The Portland area was an early adopter of environmentally sensitive construction techniques, which explains why it has a disproportionate number of architectural, development and design experts who specialize in "green" building.
With demand growing elsewhere, the area's reputation for environmental innovation is increasingly opening the doors for local firms to compete for projects they would have been denied in the past."
