Wildlife experts warn that the Sudden Oak Death epidemic that is devastating California's oaks could have a catastrophic impact on wildlife.

Sudden Oak Death is an epidemic in California and scientists are calling it the "biggest environmental problem" facing the state. :SOD threatens Californians with a triple-whammy environmental crisis: the widespread loss of trees from gardens and forests, increased fire risk from the resulting buildup of dry fuel, and the reverberating consequences of a loss of food supply for wildlife. "
