Florida Wetland Permits Debate Heats Up

Environmental groups are warring with Congressmen on making wetland permitting more 'accessible'.
"Forty-seven environmental and civic groups are urging Florida's congressional delegation to oppose efforts to shift wetlands permitting from the Army Corps of Engineers to the state. The groups sent a letter to lawmakers opposing legislation that would consolidate federal and state permitting for dredge and fill activities affecting 10 or more acres of wetlands and other surface waters."
