Recognizing Planning As A Leadership Position

Philadelphia's Mayor proposes to include the director of the city's planning commission in his cabinent.
In a tribute to the late urban planner Edmund N. Bacon, Philadelphia Mayor Street want to amend the City Charter to "add the position of executive director of the City Planning Commission to the mayor's cabinet... Street has informally expanded his cabinet to a total of 12 positions, including Maxine Griffith, who resigned as his chief planner earlier this year."
