These are questions Thomas Campanella has attempted to answer in his book, The Resilient City: How Modern Cities Recover from Disaster, the guest this week on Smart City. The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment takes a look at our planet's resilience from an environmental perspective. Its director, Walter Reid, talks about the science behind the opportunities and challenges of ecosystem change.
