The Rising Costs Of Port Security

Ports in New York and New Jersey are doing record business, but the cost of extra security measures is canceling the profits.

"Although the ports of New York and New Jersey have improved their productivity to handle a rising flow of imports, their increased security costs since 9/11 have eroded some of the gains, according to a study released yesterday."
