Are yesteryear's electric streetcars still a cost-effective transit solution today?
Morgan Alexander has started a lobbying campaign to persuade local leaders and the Regioanl Transportation Authority to return historic streetcars to Tacoma and, perhaps, surrounding communities.
"A streetcar, Alexander contends, doesnt require the substantial track and underground reinforcement that light rail does.
