A supermarket opens in Wisconsin's first new urbanist development - but not without a fight on size and appearance.
A new Copps grocery store in the Middleton Hills development was modified to blend into this neotraditional neighborhood outside Madison, Wisconsin. Milwaukee Journal Sentinal architecture critic, Whitney Gould, discusses the nonstandard architecure and design of this large store. Changes included a modified footprint and incorporation of "prairie style" design features.
