Light Rail In The Holy City

The first light rail line in Jerusalem is approved and should be running by 2008.
Israeli Transportation Ministry officials announced the signing of an agreement by the government for Jerusalem's first light rail line. The NIS 3.2 billion (USD 705.5 million) project is a public-private joint project with international conglomerate City-Pass, which will contribute nearly 60 percent of the building costs. A future second line is already planned.
