Health Benefits Of Cobblestone Streets

A recent study finds that walking on cobblestone streets offers health benefits.

Behavioral researchers from the Oregon Research Institute investigated the health effects of cobblestones after observing people exercising and walking back and forth over traditional stone paths in China. The study found that when walking on uneven surfaces the body switches it’s balance control method, resulting in lower blood pressure for the participant, as well increased functionality of the vestibular system.
