The outcome of the G-8 summit was empty rhetoric about global warming.
"The G-8 summit produces empty rhetoric about global warming...That's extremely disappointing to a world that was looking to the eight heads of state for leadership...Perhaps the business community can talk some sense into the president. The more intense weather associated with global warming, which may already be contributing to increased hurricane activity, won't be welcomed by businesses in susceptible areas like South Florida or by the insurers that have to pay the tab...It's long past time for Bush to wake up and begin tackling this growing threat."
