Census Anti-Sampling Lawsuit

Dearborn, Los Angeles, Houston, Denver among the cities criticizing the Census' anti-sampling law.
A federal court is considering whether 15 communities across the country can join a suit against a Virginia law barring the use of statistically adjusted census data for political redistricting. Dearborn, Los Angeles and other cities and counties concerned with the case all suffered undercounts in the last census in 1990, she said. They include Richmond, Va.; Houston; Denver; Inglewood, Calif.; Oakland; San Francisco; San Antonio; and Dade County, Fla.
