Oxnard, CA, Wins HUD Award For Affordable Housing Efforts

Oxnard, CA, earns an award from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department for its efforts to increase its supply of affordable housing.
"Oxnard earned an award from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department because it took steps to increase its supply of affordable housing, including offering bonuses to developers who agree to make at least 10 percent of their homes affordable to low-income families, according to HUD. In return for the lower-priced homes, the city allows developers to build more expensive homes."
