Gas Taxes To Fund Sustainable Infrastructure

Cash from gas taxes will be used to fund publict transit and sustainable infrastructure in Canada.
"Montreal's public transit system will soon be getting a badly needed infusion of federal cash. Top federal government officials on Tuesday will announce a deal with Quebec that will provide an estimated $1.1 billion in infrastructure money over the next five years...Unlike other infrastructure programs that have seen tennis stadiums and conference centres built, this money will target public transit and environmentally sustainable infrastructure like water-treatment systems."
