California's Home Prices At An All-Time High

The lack of affordable housing is reaching epic proportions all across the state.

"The statewide median price of houses and condominiums — the point at which half sell for more and half for less — reached $424,000 in April, up $63,000 in 12 months, according to DataQuick Information Systems."

Public transit has suffered from an economic mis-focus, and ironically enough, it has only worsened perennial problems like chronic underfunding and running incomplete systems that can't compete with the private automobile.
