LA Matches Neighborhood Efforts

Neighborhood groups are tapping into a program to enhance their communities.
Modeled after a successful Seattle effort, the Neighborhood Matching Funds program is in its third year. Grantsare generally in the amount of $5,000 or less, and are made to groups proposing improvements such as murals, artworks and landscaping projects. Different types of resources can count towards the match. These have includedcash, donations and in kind contributions.
