Revitalization Versus Downtown SROs

Sacramento officials are looking into alternatives to condemning several downtown single-occupancy hotels, a move some homeless advocates say will create even more problems.
"Sacramento's downtown residential hotels are refuges of last resort, frequently the only option between a bed and the streets... Those same Single Room Occupancy hotels - known as SROs - sit on parcels of prime real estate in the heart of downtown and the city's most focused redevelopment effort."
