San Francisco's Bicycle 'Policy Framework'
20 May 2005 - 5:00am
San Francisco moves closer to being bicycle-friendly by approving a policy framework to make pro-bicycle planning part of The City's general plan.
"A Board of Supervisors committee on Wednesday recommended a 'policy framework,' which would make pro-bicycle planning part of The City's general plan. The full board is expected to approve the framework, an update of The City's 1997 bicycle policy, which was not included in the general plan and therefore had little impact when it came to urban planning at city departments."
