Coastal Maine Village Eyes Brownfield Redevelopment

Town ready for a big change after gradually losing the property tax revenues that the Maine Yankee nuclear power plan had generated for so many years.
Wiscasset voters overwhelmingly approved a zoning change Wednesday that allows a private company to move forward with plans to develop a maritime village on the site of the former Mason Station power plant. In a show of hands, only a few residents signaled opposition.
