Regional Parks For The Twin Cities

A 25-year plan would include three new parks in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area and additions to numerous existing park areas.
"In an era when government at all levels seems focused on finding new things it can't afford to do anymore, the Metropolitan Council's forward-thinking parks plan is a welcome departure. Over the next 25 years, the council projects that population in the seven-county metro area will grow by 1 million. Earlier proposals have addressed where residential development should go; now the council is getting specific about some places where it should not."
