Switzerland's Urban Architecture Tour
1 April 2005 - 7:00am
Switzerland's new 'Art & Architecture' tour will focus on a variety of urban landmarks throughout the country.
The two-year campaign will highlight 26 urban cities, and is the last in a three-tiered series of tours. This unique approach to promoting tourism allowed the entire Swiss community to get involved in promoting landmarks and buildings that might be otherwise overlooked. The aim of the tour is to emphasize the connection between past and present architecture, highlighting urban areas of interest. The Swiss tourism board hopes the diverse selection will attract a wider variety of people who are interested in thematic tours.
