El Pueblo Renovation Completed

Renovation of two El Pueblo buildings and the surrounding streets is complete. The next project is Olvera Street, scheduled for 2001.
Pico House and the Hellman Quon Building have been renovated. The streets around them have new lighting, trees and cobblestone paths. The next area project is Olvera Street, to begin in 2001. Merchants on Olvera Street have lost money with reduced tourism as a result of the construction. They fear the coming disruption will lead to futher losses.
