Morro Bay, CA, is divided over the removal of power plant smokestacks as "one resident's blemish is another's beauty mark."
The town of Morro Bay, CA,is divided over the removal of smokestacks belonging to a power plant.Travel writers have described the power plant as "horrific, gigantic, absurdly placed." The plant's owner plans to tear down the plant and build a smaller cleaner plant...without smokestacks. Some residents are critical because they consider the smokestacks as "landmarks." A case of "one resident's blemish is another's beauty mark."
