The City of Berkeley takes the University of California at Berkeley to court over 15-year growth plan.
"Long-simmering tensions between the City of Berkeley and its famous university erupted Wednesday as the city sued to block campus expansion plans. The suit alleges that a campus environmental impact report, approved by UC's governing board of regents last month, doesn't adequately evaluate the consequences of the expansion."
