18 February 2005 - 5:00am
The University of Miami plans include walkable design, 1,200 small homes and a K-12 school.
Proposing a model community, the university looks to create an example of what suburban development could be. The New Urbanist firm of Duany Plater-Zyberk has been hired to create the plans which will include a new public library, parks and neighborhood shops on property next to Miami Metrozoo.
