On NPR's All Things Considered.."All Things Considered, February 2, 2005 · Business owners and gay activists in Spokane, Washington, are making a plan to create a gay district. They envision a neighborhood like the Castro in San Francisco, with gay-friendly businesses and lots of gay residents. Commentator Michael Alvear thinks it's a bad idea."
