New Urbanists' Vision For A College Town

Andres Duany and his team of developers are raising eyebrows in a college town.
"Duany's favorite suggestion for the use of the 129 acres is to build a college town for Hendrix students that would have a neo-traditionalist Main Street area as well as plenty of residential property. "It should retain the character of Hendrix but add an aspect of urban life," Duany said...the new town would benefit Hendrix several ways: it could increase endowment, give the students more options for social life and entertainment, and also help attract potential students... "
